3. Take some time for yourself

With the winter behind us and summer looming ahead it’s easy to get lost in the daily routine of work-eat-sleep and forget to take some time for ourselves. It’s extremely important to take small moments out of the day to call a friend, read a book, or just relax. Researchers at the University of Florida found that people with high amounts of stress are at a much greater chance of heart disease and that taking even a few minutes everyday greatly reduced the odds of heart problems.

4. Drink more water

This point is something that is talked about over and over, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t important. With the warmer weather it is important to increase water intake to avoid becoming dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water before each meal can also help with appetite control and weight loss.
